Conductor John Andrews will be sharing with us his own ‘Journey to the Savoy’. This will be a personal account of how he has come from a very different musical background, through his involvement in making recordings of Sullivan’s music for the Sir Arthur Sullivan Society, to his appreciation of the Savoy operas. At the International G&S Festival this year he conducted Jeff Clarke’s production of The Mikado, and ‘The Best of G & S’ concert which included the three ‘lost songs’ from Iolanthe.
